Michael Moore’s diet is a doozy. What’s so special about Michael Moore’s diet? Michael Moore’s diet is not special. In fact, Michael Moore’s diet is so boring that it puts me to sleep. His diet choice is what makes it a doozy, not the diet itself. Michael Moore’s diet is so old that it makes dinosaurs look young.
Michael Moore’s diet deconstructed It is called The Pritikin Diet. The name has changed many times, the most recent versions of this diet are known as The Pritikin Edge and The Pritikin Principle, but the basic idea behind this diet is pretty much the same. What is it? It is the calorie-shifting principle or more precisely, it is all about counting calories. How original is that, right?
That said, it does not really matter which diet he has chosen. What really matters is whether or not this diet is working for him. The good news is that Michael Moore’s diet is clearly working. He has already lost 70 pounds and seems to be on target to lose 70 more pounds.
Of course, the real test for how effective this diet really is will come later, when he reaches his weight-loss goal. Many diets can help you lose weight, but only a few teach you how to maintain lost weight long term. People who cannot hand on to the lost weight turn into yo-yo dieters, let’s hope Moore is not going to join this club.
The bottom line on Michael Moore’s diet Can old-school diets still deliver? It seems so. The short-term results are impressive, especially for someone like Moore, losing 70 pounds in a fairly short time period is a great achievement. I am skeptical about long term results, but I hope Moore will prove me wrong.
