Melissa Joan Hart’s Weight Loss and Diet Update

Continued from Melissa Joan Hart: Weight Loss and Diet.
In a recent interview, Melissa Joan Hart has revealed that she is still losing weight and that she did not feel “feminine and beautiful” during her pregnancy. Here is an update on Melissa Joan Hart’s weight loss and diet.
How did you get back into shape so quickly? I got the okay from my doctor four weeks after the birth, so I have been working out three days a week at Pulse [Fitness Studio]. My trainer is amazing. We do spinning for 30 minutes, and then floor exercises for 30 minutes. I’m breast-feeding, so I’m not looking to get super-skinny. If I do that, I lose my milk, and I don’t want that for my son.
What’s your current diet? I have a nutritionist. I have rules: no refined sugars, no white starches, and protein with every meal. I’m really disciplined in the morning. Lunch gets a little harder for me, then dinner is when I get a little out of hand. It’s been a long day, I’m tired, and I’m just like, “I want food!”
Do you indulge at all? I allow myself ice cream, chips and guacamole. If I cut those out, I just feel angry [laughs]. I hit my weight goal for what I want to be so I can breast-feed healthy. I’m five pounds off from where I started. But I want to drop another 10, and I’ll do that over the rest of the year.
How much weight did you gain while you were pregnant? I put on about 35 pounds. Maybe by the end of it, close to 40. With Mason, I put on 55 pounds.
Did you ever feel “unsexy” while you were pregnant? Oh god, I did not like being pregnant. I thought I would feel so feminine and beautiful. But it is so uncomfortable. I love being a mom, but I don’t like being pregnant. [source: OK!]
