Melissa Joan Hart’s Dancing with the Stars participation is not very surprising. In fact, Melissa Joan Hart’s Dancing with the Stars gig was destined to happen. As a child, she took dancing classes (ballet, jazz and tap), and she wanted to be a dancer.

Here is an excerpt from a recent interview with her in which she has revealed some interesting information about her diet and exercise program. As for the Melissa Joan Hart’s bikini look, expect it to improve further as she gets even in better shape after Dancing with the Stars.

What was your exercise routine like before Dancing with the Stars? I had just moved, so it was mostly lifting boxes and wrestling with the kids! During my last few months in L.A. [she currently resides in Connecticut], I did belly dancing and stripper classes at a place in Studio City called Rebel. Also Cardio Barre, which is a high-paced aerobics class mixed with ballet stuff like plies and kicks.

Are you practicing your routines at home? I don’t want to be home doing cha-cha moves with my kids, because that’s not real time with them. I might pick them up and dance with them a little bit just to be fun, but I’m not going to really study the moves at home.

What’s the best tip he’s [her dance partner Mark Ballas] given you? The No. 1 thing, truly, is, jeep snacking, eat the right things, but eat more frequently. The more often you eat, the more your body is going to burn. [via]
