Maggie Grace: Diet and Workout

Maggie Grace: Diet and WorkoutWhen your name is Maggie Grace, it’s painfully ironic to be known as the clumsy girl growing up. But this is a tag that the beautiful Ohio native has accepted with much humor and, well, grace.

With three movies coming out – the first of which, The Jane Austen Book Club, hit screens on her 24th birthday, – the former Lost star is preparing to walk the red carpet without falling flat on her face.

How do you stay in shape? I haven’t been to the gym in weeks, but I’ve been moving, so I’ve been lifting boxes and refurbishing. I’m good with a power sander and a drill, but you get sore shoulders from using them.

Did you grow up playing sports? No, I cried after gym class every day. My friends and I now play in a drunken kickball league. I often miss the ball, but it’s very athletic.

Do you watch what you eat? I’m better the month before a film, as far as not eating so much sugar. I can’t give up caffeine. I tried once and I was completely miserable. I drink massive amounts of tea. It’s an emotional ritual; I’ve been drinking it with my parents since I was little.

Are you planning backyard barbecues in the new house? I already had a huge one. It was a little housewarming party, combined with one of my best friends’ birthdays. We had yummy lavender lemonade and V2 vodka, the kind that has caffeine in it. That was the main course, really! [source: OK!]
