Lychee Extract Burns Fat

Let’s say you want to lose weight one month, can eating lychee help you do that? What if your goal is not just to lose weight in one month, what if you want to lose weight in 3 days – should you start eating bucket of lychee? Well, some say the lychee fruit burns body fat, which, if true, can certainly help you lose weight. But is it true? Sort of.

First of all, eating fresh lychees does not increase metabolism and cannot help you lose weight. It tastes great, however, and contains healthy nutrients – so I am not saying there is no reason to eat it, it is just not going to help you lose weight. Second, the lychee extract (200 mg) does appear to be more useful than a placebo.

In a recent study, two groups of people (male and female) were given the lychee extract or a placebo for 2.5 months. They did not follow any particular diet or exercise plan. The result? The lychee extract group lost some weight, decreased belly fat and had higher levels of a hormone that aids weight loss.

Does it mean you should start taking the lychee extract? In my opinion, the answer is no. A lot more studies are needed to understand how the lychee extract works and if it really works. One study does not prove anything.
