Lose 50 Pounds in 2 Months

You can lose 50 pounds, but can you lose 50 pounds in 2 months? To lose 50 pounds in 2 months, you need to lose 25 pounds a month for two months, which on a finer scale translates into losing a bit over 6 pounds a week for eight consecutive weeks. In other words, forget about losing 55 pounds in 2 months, I do not think it is possible to lose even 50 pounds in 2 months.

The reason why it is unreasonable to expect to lose so much weight in just 2 months has to do with the fact that under normal circumstances a typical person can only lose about 2 pounds a week. To accomplish what you want to do, you need to lose 6 pounds a week. It does not mean, however, that you should not try to lose any weight. How much weight can you lose in 2 months?
