Okay, so you want to lose 20 pounds in 1 month, but the question is: Can you lose 20 pounds in 1 month? Maybe you can accomplish that, but a better question is probably this: Is it reasonable to expect to lose 20 pounds in 1 month?

You see, I do not know if you can lose 20 pounds in 1 month, but I do know that it is unreasonable to have such a goal. Why? Because to lose 20 pounds in just one month, you need to sustain a weigh-loss rate of 5 pounds a week for four consecutive weeks.

Do not get me wrong, some people can lose 5 pounds a week for 4 weeks in a row – believe it or not, some people can even lose about 8 pounds for a few weeks in a row – but most people cannot do that.
