Lose 20 Pounds Fast

Hi im 14 and im overweight. i play soccer competitively and practice 3 times a week usually 3-4 hours plus hs training twice a week for 2 1/2 hours. i need to lose at least 10-20 pounds because it is holding me back. i like to eat sugary foods and often have to eat on the run because of my intense schedule. i need either a workout plan and/or diet advice to lose those extra pounds in 3-5 weeks. can anyone give me a site, or recommend some one to me? I do not think you need a workout plan. You play soccer, which is a great cardio workout.

As for a diet, take a look at How to Lose 20 Pounds and How to Lose Weight, but I think you already know what you need to do to eat healthy. Obviously, eating on the run is not ideal, but the main problem seems to be that you consume too much sugar.

Now, there is nothing wrong with eating sugary foods, assuming you eat them occasionally. However, research shows that a diet high in simple carbohydrates helps people gain weight.

The solution You do not need to completely eliminate sugar from your diet, but if you want to lose weight, you have to clean up your diet. Replace sugary foods with fruit and make sure that your daily menu contains vegetables, protein, and healthy fats.

    I’d also add that 20 pounds in that short a time frame is virtually impossible to achieve without resorting to some really unsafe dieting/exercise practices. (This is assuming that you are 20 pounds from your goal weight… if you have a lot to lose, you will lose faster, but still… about one or two pounds a week is the safest goal to strive for).
