Lose 15 Pounds in 2 Weeks

Can you lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks? Some say that it is possible to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks, but ask yourself this: Assuming I can lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks, does it mean that I can lose 30 pounds in 1 month and 45 pounds in just six weeks? Perspective is important.

To lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks, you need to lose 7.5 pounds per week for two consecutive weeks, which comes pretty close to losing 5 pounds in 5 days. But to lose almost 8 pounds during the first week is not easy, far from it. To lose 8 more pounds during the second week, after you just lost about 8 pounds, would be even harder. Why? Because a human body is not designed to lose weight fast.

It just so happens that our bodies are much better at storing and hanging on to the body fat than to letting it go, which is why most people can usually expect to lose only 2 pounds per week.

Having said that, I am not going to tell you that it is impossible to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks. Am I going to encourage you to attempt something like this? No. When it comes to dieting and weight loss, I believe in doing things at a moderate and steady pace rather than rushing things, but I do not want to leave you hanging either. So if I would try to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks, here is how I would do it.

How to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks The most important thing here is to do it safely, which means that fad diets such as the celery diet or taking diet pills would not be an option for me. I would, however, do a sugar detox of sorts, and I would start walking every day for at least 45 minutes. I would also drastically change my diet.

It should be noted that making radical changes to your eating habits is not a very good idea. It is much better to make small changes over time, so that your body has enough time to adjust to your new eating habits. But if you want to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks, there is nothing wrong with being a little adventurous.

The good news is that I am not talking about the kind of changes that make you starve. I am talking about having at least five meals a day, eating more vegetables, fiber-rich fruits, a variety of healthy fats and proteins.

But do not get me wrong – even if you change your diet in addition to being more active, you should not expect to lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks. I just do not want you to have unreasonable expectations. Why not? Because when they are not met, people often lose motivation.

So expect to lose weight at a more reasonable pace
(about 3 pounds a week) and if you manage to do better, if you actually lose 15 pounds in 2 weeks or maybe even faster, well, it is an icing on the cake, be happy about it! Just do not eat the cake until you reach your weight-loss goal.
