Can’t decide between Lipoabdominoplasty and Laser Liposuction? Well, they are pretty close, but Lipoabdominoplasty is a new procedure which combines a tummy tuck and traditional liposuction. If you have not heard about Laser Liposuction, you can read all about it here.
While Lipoabdominoplasty and Laser Liposuction – also known as SmartLipo – is still considered a surgery, compared to the standard surgeries, Lipoabdominoplasty promises less pain from swelling and bruising.
According to Paul Parker, MD, director of the Parker Center for Plastic Surgery in Paramus, who was one of the first doctors to perform Lipoabdominoplasty, a traditional tummy tuck puts more stress on your body, but this procedure keeps the blood vessels and nerves intact, therefore patients are likely to heal more quickly.
He says that “Liposuction allows for the skin to be contoured, rather than just pulled down, so patients who undergo the procedure have a more defined waistline.” [source: Health]
