Kelly Killoren Bensimon Diet

Continued from Kelly Bensimon’s Diet.

Can Kelly Killoren Bensimon‘s diet help you answer one question nobody wants to ask: What should I eat to lose weight? Assuming you do not know what to eat to lose weight, can you use Kelly Killoren Bensimon’s diet to lose 30 pounds in 3 months? The good news about Kelly Killoren Bensimon’s diet is that it is pretty low in calories, but since she does not need to lose weight – she needs to gain some weight, in my opinion – her diet is less than ideal for someone who is looking for a good weight-loss diet.

Having said that, if you do not need to lose weight or have already lost weight and only interested in weight maintains, Kelly Killoren Bensimon’s diet just might do the trick. I still would not follow her eating plan blindly, though. Why not? Because, for example, nutritionally speaking, her breakfast is pretty awful, and her choice of snacks can be a lot better, too.

Breakfast (about 64 calories) While it is undoubtedly important to supply your body with vitamin C, eating oranges with a cup of coffee for breakfast is just wrong. To her credit, she does not drink orange juice for breakfast, but while whole oranges do contain a lot of important nutrients, they are still high in carbs and do not supply your body with protein.

Lunch (about 623 calories) Rice with broccoli and chicken. Diet Coke and a bottle of water. The Diet Coke has got to go, but drinking a bottle of water is always a good idea, especially if you drink it before a meal (it helps reduce appetite).

Snack (about 122 calories) Popcorn and gummy bears. Not good. She does not eat them all the time, however.

Dinner (about 623 calories) For some odd reason she does not eat carrots because, according to Kelly, they contain too much sugar. Big mistake! First of all, oranges are higher in sugar than carrots. Second, carrots are very nutritious. They contain fiber, vitamin A and other important nutrients.

That said, Kelly’s dinner choices are pretty good. She usually has protein with vegetables, and she eats a lot of leafy greens.

Total daily calories: About 1,432 calories. [source: OK!]
