Is Katy Perry‘s weight loss a good example of what to do for someone who craves to lose weight in one month? Is Katy Perry’s weight loss a good example of what to do for someone who craves to lose 20 pounds in 1 month? No and no. Why not? Because Katy Perry’s weight loss is not an example of anything other than what appears to be yet another rather puzzling celebrity weight loss.

What is wrong with Katy Perry’s weight loss? Some would probably say that there is nothing wrong with Katy Perry’s weight loss per se, but I do not understand why she has decided to lose weight. Was she overweight? I do not think so. I guess it does not really matter why she has decided to lose weight, what most of probably want to know is how she did it.

Katy Perry’s weight loss deconstructed Just like many other celebrities, she has hired a personal trainer, Harley Pasternak, to help her lose weight. What sets Pasternak apart from other celebrity trainers, however, is the quality of his work. Both of his books, The 5-Factor Diet and The 5-Factor Fitness, contain a lot of practical information that can help regular people lose weight and shape up.

While it is not clear at this moment how much weight she has managed to lose thus far – she is currently a size 4 – we do know that her exercise program is rather intense, but do not expect her to drop all the way to the size 0. Speaking of Perry’s workout, it consists of either jumping rope or cycling to warm up (she claims to be able to jump rope for 30 minutes nonstop, which, if true, is crazy), followed by weight lifting and lunges.
