Kate Bosworth: Pressure to Gain Weight

Remember this? Well, Kate Bosworth says she does not want to get any skinnier. Thank you, Lord, or whoever was responsible. “I have more pressure to be a size bigger. I get crap all the time for being too small,” she says.
Battling body issues is nothing new for Kate, whose skeletal appearance following her breakup with Orlando Bloom in 2006 led to speculation of an eating disorder. But the 25-year-old Kate insists she is healthy. The question is: do you actually believe her?
“I naturally lose weight when I’m under stress,” she says, adding that it is hard to stay sane in Hollywood when it comes to body image. How hard could it be, really? You just take a fork, grab some food with it, and put it in your mouth. We all do it, Kate, it cannot be that hard.
“You are either too tall, too short, too curvy, too skinny,” says Kate. “And I’m like, ‘Come on, already!’” she says. In a recent interview, Kate has revealed why she was so skinny back then.
Does your family worry when they see you get skinnier? No. All of the women in my family lose weight when they’re stressed.
What caused your rail-thin appearance two years ago? I went through a really tough time then. I had a family member who we found out had a terminal illness, and he just passed.
So there were no drastic diets? No. It was all just emotional stress and that’s how it affects my body. [source: In Touch]
