Jillian Michaels’ personalized vitamins are part of her weight-loss program. They are just supplements that you can get at any health food store. What makes Jillian Michaels‘ personalized vitamins special? They are formulated for your individual needs.
Assuming you regularly drink milk and eat yogurt, do you need to supplement your diet with calcium? Probably not, right? If, however, you do not consume any dairy products, you could be deficient in calcium, in which case you might need to use calcium supplements.
While I do not have anything against Jillian Michaels’ personalized vitamins, I do not like supplements in general. I think they are overrated and not necessary for most people. I just do not see any reason to use supplements unless your blood test clearly shows that you are deficient in some important mineral or vitamin.
The best insurance against nutritional deficiencies is to follow a balanced diet that includes a wide variety of complex carbohydrates, vegetables, fruits, healthy fats, and proteins.

I’m actually a long-time Jillian Michael’s fan, but concur with your take on the supplement ordeal. They are not generally necessary (when partaking in a balanced diet), specifically “fat burners” … It was kind of shocking to hear such, would be coming from her – of all people.
