Jessica Simpson Lost 10 Pounds in 10 Days

Jessica Simpson lost 10 pounds in 10 days – do you believe her? Do I believe that Jessica Simpson lost 10 pounds in 10 days? I do not want to believe it. Yo-yo dieting, while popular in Hollywood, is not a way to go if your goal is to lose weight safely and permanently.
Assuming Jessica Simpson lost 10 pounds in 10 days without clenbuterol (see the Clenbuterol and Weight Loss post for more information), which I am sure she did, it does remind of me of something else. The whole idea of losing that much weight that quickly seems as crazy as trying to lose 10 pounds in 3 days. Trying to lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks is a much better idea, in my opinion.
So, if Jessica Simpson lost 10 pounds in 10 days without any shady tricks, how has she managed to do that? She is not new to weight loss. She went on a diet, started exercising and lost weight – no surprises there, right? Well, what is surprising and ultimately disappointing is that she still seems unable to lose weight on her own. She does not seem to know how to lose fat.
Why do I say this? Because Jessica Simpson lost 10 pounds in 10 days with her trusted personal trainer, Harley Pasternak. It was his diet and his exercise program (for more info see the Harley Pasternak’s 5 Factor Diet and 5 Factor Diet Snacks posts) that she followed to lose weight.
Given Jessica’s experience with weight loss, let’s face it, she has been gaining weight and losing weight for a number of years by now, one would expect her to either figure out a way to maintain her weight or being able to lose it using her previous experience.
The bottom line on how Jessica Simpson lost 10 pounds in 10 days I have mixed feeling about this. On one hand, I am happy for her. I think she should be praised to talking steps to get back to a healthy weight. On the other hand, I do not really need to see another bubblehead parade her inability to maintain weight or lose it on her own. [source: OK!]
