Jennie Garth: Weight Loss, Diet, and Workout

Jennie Garth: Weight Loss, Diet, and WorkoutWho can forget Jennie Garth from Beverly Hills, 90210? And these days her carrier continues to flourish, but she is also doing a great job raising her three daughters with her husband, actor Peter Facinelli.

In a recent interview, she has revealed some interesting details about her diet, workout, whether or not she is happy with her body, and how much weight she has lost.

What’s your workout regime? I’m trying to tone up after my third baby. For the last three weeks, I’ve been doing an extreme-cardio class three days a week and Pilates two days a week.

Are you following any special diet? I don’t have time to plan what I’m going to eat or prepare it, so I’ve been doing food delivery. It’s like a gift from God when I open the door and there’s a bag full of food! I don’t have to think about it. It’s such a luxury.

Do you ever cook? I cook for my kids every day. Sitting down for dinner is a priority for us. That’s our time together. To lose weight, I can’t eat spaghetti, but I want them to eat spaghetti. I ‘d rather eat a cupcake and a bowl full of Doritos, but I’ve got to lose weight!

Are you happy with your body? I’m 100 percent comfortable with the way I look. It’s when I’m in this business and in this town and when I have to be in front of people that I don’t feel good about the way 1 look. When I’m working, I’m obsessed with wanting to look my best.

How much weight have you lost, and how much do you still want to lose? I’ve lost three or four pounds in the last three weeks. It comes off slow. But I’m exercising. I just want to lose maybe five more pounds.

Will you go back to eating regularly after that? At some point, I’ll have to because they only deliver to L.A. and I’m away a lot. I will stay on the food system as long as I’m in town.

How do you protect your children from the pressures you feel in Hollywood? I try to teach them the importance of eating healthy. We indulge in sweets whenever we want to, but not excessively.

I don’t let them sit around and eat sugar all day, but if they want to have some ice cream or a cupcake, they can. They eat a balanced meal, every meal. [via]
