I Hate Milk

Do you hate milk? Do I hate milk? Yes, I do, I hate milk. Okay, maybe that was a bit too strong, I do not hate milk, but I do not like it. Why? Because it is so overrated.
If you do not like milk, a new study indicates there may be other drinks to help strengthen your bones. Research from Texas A&M University’s Vegetable and Fruit Improvement Center indicates that orange and grapefruit juice prevented osteoporosis in rats.
More studies need to be conducted to see if the same effect can be duplicated on humans. However, the mainstream thinking on this is that it cannot hurt to drink a little of this vitamin-rich juice daily considering that osteoporosis, a disease where bones become more likely to break, affects eight million American women and is responsible for an estimated 1.5 million hips, vertebrae and wrists breaking each year.
The problem with this reasoning is simple: we already get more than enough calcium from our diet. We do not need more calcium. We need to find a way to retain it, which can be accomplished by upping our intake of magnesium-rich foods.
