I Am Dieting But Not Losing Weight

I Am Dieting But Not Losing WeightIf you are following a healthy diet and not losing weight, you need to start moving your bod a little more. According to Australian researchers, it is harder to lose weight if you are inactive.

The researchers measured the blood sugar (glucose) of 4,576 women and found that their levels rose for every hour they spent watching TV.

Extra glucose ends up as fat, explains lead researcher David Dunstan, Ph.D., of the International Diabetes Institute in Melbourne.

And added pounds do more damage by making it tougher for insulin to take extra glucose out of the bloodstream. So go easy on channel surfing: Dunstan’s team suggests limiting tube time to 2 hours a day.

Remember: Move your bod! Make a commitment to spend 30 minutes a day moving nonstop. It really does not matter what you do, just move for 30 minutes each day, rain or shine.

Walk, hike, climb trees, clean your house – use your imagination, the possibilities are endless. [source: Women's Health]
