Avoiding all simple carbohydrates helps eliminate cravings as does avoiding caffeine.  Caffeine creates the same adrenal/insulin reaction in the body as sugar. So dump it.  A nourishing way to forgo sugar is to eat a spoonful of cream (raw is best) when a craving arises.  Your body will get the immediate energy boost it needs as well as longer term energy release from the proteins in the cream. Your liver will be soothed instead of overloaded and your taste for sugar will be replaced for something infinitely more healthy.
