How to Maintain a Healthy Weight

“Take a step beyond just exercising and eating right. What you drink matters too. Studies suggest the nutrients in milk can play an important role in maintaining a healthy weight. So drink 24 ounces of lowfat or fat free milk a day and judge for yourself.”
Is it just me, or does this ad suggest that exercising and following a good diet is not enough to maintain a healthy weight? Of course it matters what you drink, but wouldn’t what you drink be part of your diet anyway?
I’m just having a hard time imagining that “taking a step beyond a proper diet and exercise plan involves drinking fat-free milk. What am I missing?

I'm with you ... being lactose intolerant myself, milk is the last thing on my diet! When I do use milk or have a bowl of cereal (very infrequent occurence), I have to get lactose free milk.
I just can't see how milk is key to any diet...
