Foods That Burn Fat

Foods That Burn FatAre there any foods that may help burn fat? Yes, lean protein (beef, fish, pork, and poultry), coffee, and fiber-rich berries, could be described as fat-burning foods.

Research shows that consuming these foods – a few cups of berries or around 0.8 gram of protein for 1 pound of bodyweight – may support your body’s calorie-burning machine (a.k.a. your metabolism).

However, what may be even more important than the food itself is the frequency of your meals. This, of course, does not mean you should eat Jujyfruits and donuts all day. Why not?

Since your body needs to digest anything you eat, your metabolism will increase every time you eat. It does not really discriminate between a sugar cube and a skinless chicken breast.

But you do not want just short spikes in your metabolic rate – you want to keep the calorie-burning “furnace going as long as possible.

To accomplish this, eat small servings of high-quality foods (lean proteins and fiber-rich complex carbohydrates) often throughout the day (my favorite number is five in this case), this will help keep your metabolism high, which in turn, increases the fat burning.
