Are FitFlops, er, a flop or can they make you fit? Do FitFlops work? FitFlops is not a new concept. Remember Skechers Tone Ups and Skechers Shape Ups? The premise of FitFlops is obviously similar to other fitness shoes, but do they deliver better results? It is hard to say. I think all of them work about the same. I do not know, maybe I am just old-fashioned, I just think that traditional exercise works better than even the best designed shoes.
Of course, one needs to actually exercise regularly to benefit from, say, barbell squats. If you do not exercise regularly, using something like FitFlops probably makes a lot of sense. Unlike other brands, FitFlops do not look goofy, so it seems like a good idea to use them instead of regular shoes.
Still, the idea that wearing some shoes can make my legs toned sounds rather odd. As far as I know, when it comes to diet and exercise, there are no shortcuts. If you really want to put some size and definition on your legs, stick with what works – barbell squats, lunges, deadlifts, and leg presses.
