Fit in Your Jeans by Friday: Kim Kardashian
Can Kim Kardashian make you fit in your jeans by Friday? That is the promise behind Fit in Your Jeans by Friday by Kim Kardashian. Apparently, Kim Kardashian’s weight loss and diet have been so successful that now she is ready to show you the moves that should help you fit in your jeans by Friday.
While Kim Kardashian’s workout is only partly responsible for making 5-foot-2 Kim drop four sizes – she went from a size 6 to a size 2 and now weighs 118 pounds – it still played a very important role. So, how did she manage to create three-part DVD series, Fit in Your Jeans by Friday? A recent interview with Kim explains how she got in shape.
How did you do it? I worked out every single day for at least two hours – and sometimes twice a day – to get ready to shoot my new exercise videos. I started with an upbeat warm-up, then upper-body cardio using 5-pound weights, a lower-body workout with squats and lunges and finished it off with an abs series and stretching. That routine got everything tighter and toned.
Have you always been so fitness-focused? No. When I’d visit my boyfriend, Reggie Bush, he’d write a workout for me, leave for practice and later call, asking, “Are you at the gym?” I’d say “Yeah,” but I was totally in bed.
What motivated you? I love my curves and have to work out to maintain them. Actually, keeping my shape takes a lot more work than just doing nothing or being super-skinny. So this was about toning up, getting fit.
And your diet? I was always a burger-and-fries girl. Now I try to stay away from heavy carbs. I am eating macrobiotic foods. It’s stuff I’ve never eaten before, like veggie burgers with tofu cheese and quinoa. I don’t even know what that is, but I am liking it.
Tempted by old faves? When I was done with the shoot for my workout DVD, I was like, I’m going to In-N-Out Burger and it’s going to be amazing. But on my way there I thought, I can’t even do it to myself. I want a salad. Now that I’m into this, I don’t think I’ll ever stop! [via]
