Here we go, now Oprah is fat? Well, according to Globe, Oprah Winfrey has gained a lot of weight recently. Her current weight is estimated to be around 200 pounds and 37.5 percent body fat.

“This has to be a wake-up call for Oprah,â€? says an insider. “Years of yo-yo dieting are taking a terrible toll on her. She looks like she’s close to 200 lbs. again. She has to get control of her weight once and for all. Her life could depend on it.”

Oprah supposedly learned the news her body consists of more than one-third fat when she and best friend Gayle King, whose body tested at 30 percent fat, spent five days taping her talk show.

Trying to make light of the situation, Oprah cracked, “It’s official, I’m fat,” to which Gayle added, “Let there be pancakes for all.”

Recent stresses have put Oprah’s diet into a tailspin, say friends. Oprah is furious with herself for packing so much weight onto her 5-foot-6-inch frame, insiders say. “Oprah blames the cross-country road trip she and Gayle went on last summer as the start of her latest diet downfall,” says the insider.

“It only lasted 10 days, but Oprah ate all the wrong things, gorging on cheeseburgers, fries, combread and biscuits with apple butter. She ate her way from Santa Barbara to New York.

“The worst part of the trip diet-wise was spending the evening at Graceland in Memphis. Lisa Marie Presley and her husband Michael Lockwood were really gracious hosts, but the big problem was the home-style dinner in the Presley family tradition.

It was a feast of the most amazing fried Southern food which Oprah just loves. She just couldn’t get enough of it. After she got the taste for some of her favorite foods, she couldn’t let it go.”

And there you have it. Of course, given the source of this information it’s hard to say if any of it is actually true. I have not seen Oprah’s show recently, so I don’t really know if she has gained some weight.

But even she has, she’s such a trooper. I’m pretty sure she’ll find a way to get back to her normal weight. [via]
