Fast Food Nutrition: Deep-Fried Pizza
Unlike fried Coke, which left us hanging without a recipe, the good folks at the Atlantic ChipShop in Brooklyn N.Y., were kind enough to let a pizza blog, Slice, tape the process of their newest creation – deep-fried pizza.
Until now, deep-fried pizza has been reportedly safely confined to Scotland. How did it end up here? Did we give them fried Coke?
According to Adam, who filmed the creation of this “El Diabloâ€? concoction, “it’s actually quite tasty, if you’re into pizza rolls and mozzarella sticks.”
At $3 apiece, it will probably become another deep-fried sensation, or not, I hope. Call me old-fashioned, but come on, N.Y. City is home to the best pizza in the U.S., sorry Chicago - - what are you guys doing to the “icon”?
