Fast Food Alternatives

There is nothing wrong with eating fast food once in a while, but if you need to lose some weight and want to look smoking hot and healthy, here are some fast food alternatives to consider.
Funnel Cake – 760 calories It may sound perfect while you are at the fair, but keep this in mind: It will take about two hours of intense cardio to burn it off. Bring a Kashi granola bar instead if you are craving something sugary and sweet.
Cotton Candy – 1 oz. = 110 calories You are actually getting several ounces of sugar in that massive pink puff. Stick to Cotton Candy Bubble Yum gum, which is 25 calories a pop. Your nonsticky hands will thank you.
Potato Chips – an individual bag = 230 calories They are a beach-bag staple, but healthier choices are available, like Glennys Soy Crisps, which have 70 calories and just 1.5 grams of fat.
Potato Salad – 1 cup = 358 calories BBQ rule number one: Avoid all things drowning in mayo. Mayo equals fat and often not a good kind. Stick to healthier options, like grilled veggies or a green salad.
Ice Cream – 1 serving of vanilla Haagen-Dazs = 270 calories Sorbet and frozen-fruit bars will cool you down and satisfy your sweet tooth with half the calories.
Fried Chicken – 1 chicken breast = 440 calories Way to ruin a great piece of lean protein with grease. Instead, have your chicken grilled or broiled, and skip the creamy dipping sauces.
Frozen Margarita – 583 calories Sure, you want something refreshing on a hot day. But a wine spritzer or light beer – both under 100 calories – won’t ruin your bikini bod.
Hot Dog – 460 calories Try turkey or tofu dogs at your next BBQ. Tasting that delicious chargrilled flavor, no one will know the difference.
Cheeseburger – 510 calories Ground beef is not very lean. Avoid extra calories by opting for a turkey burger. And do not forget – there is a ton of carbs in those bans.
Frappuccino Grande – 380 calories Drinks should not have fat and so many calories. Go for an iced coffee with skim milk and Splenda instead. If you want something sweeter, ask your barista for a sugar-free shot. [via]
