Enviga: The Calorie Burner?

Enviga: The Calorie Burner?

Forget Clenbuterol, Lipo 6, NV and other so-called fat-burner pills, which promise “proven weight loss results. There is a new kid on the block.

Coca-Cola and Nestea are promoting Enviga as a new weight-loss drink. In fact, they dubbed it “The Calorie Burner. How does it burn calories? It contains an insignificant undisclosed amount of green tea and some caffeine.

According to the hype Coca-Cola, Enviga has been proven to burn calories. Proof? What proof? Okay, there is one study, which apparently concluded that Enviga “could increase fat oxidation and energy expenditure.

There is only one problem. Unbelievably, the study only used healthy individuals with (shudder) normal body weight! Therefore, even if the results are accurate, they are completely meaningless for those who are actually overweight.

In other words, it would be like testing cholesterol-lowering drugs only on those who do not actually have elevated cholesterol levels, which would be absurd.

Diet-Blog has recently posted an excellent review of Enviga. Its conclusion is shocking: you need to spend about $150 and “drink 105 bottles of Enviga over 35 days, to burn 1 pound of fat.

According to FitSugar, the Center for Science and Public Interest (CSPI) did not find Enviga’s calorie burning and “negative calorie claims amusing.

CSPI is threatening to sue them if “if they continue to make those claims - which [according to CSPI] are based on inconsistent, short-term and industry-funded studies.
