Eating once a day to lose weight is a bad idea. What is wrong with eating once a day? Where do I begin? Eating once a day is not healthy for many different reasons, but the main reason why eating once a day is not something you should try is because doing so is basically equivalent to starving yourself. There is a better way to lose weight.

Even if you can consume a lot of calories in one meal, eating once a day is not going to provide your body with enough nutrients. As for eating once a day and eating meat only, well, I personally love meat. Some would say it is virtually impossible to find a better source of protein than meat. That having been said, meat does not contain vitamins, fiber and minerals that are found in vegetables and fruits.

If you really want to lose weight and keep the lost weight off for good, you need to supply your body with a wide variety of nutrients. Eating once a day, eating meat only and taking vitamin supplements is exactly the opposite of what you need to do to lose weight safely. You need to eat at least three times a day. You can consume some protein with each meal, but each meal should be balanced.
