Drink While You Eat, Lose Weight

Drink While You Eat, Lose WeightContinued from Grapefruit Burns Fat.

Claim: If you don’t drink while you eat, you’ll lose weight. This couldn’t be more false. “If you’re drinking while you’re eating, you’re going to slow down and eat fewer calories,” says registered dietitian Keri Glassman. Bottom line: Drink up!

Claim: You’ll lose more weight if you work out in the morning versus at night. Logically, this seems like it would be true, but Nick D’Atellis, a private trainer at the Reebok Sports Club/NY says, “It doesn’t matter when you work out as long as you are getting rid of the calories that you need to get rid of.”

Pick a convenient time that’s good for your mood and schedule so that you stick with your routine.

Claim: Snacking is good for you. You may think you’re doing some good by starving yourself in between meals, but Keri explains that “snacking keeps your metabolism revved, blood sugar levels stable and your energy up.” Not to mention it prevents you from pigging out at the first sign of food!

I tend to think that morning exercise before breaking-the-fast will burn more calories from fat stores. The source of the calories you use is a factor as well as the number.
