Drink Water to Lose Weight

Do you want to lose weight? Drink water. Wait; do not drink just any water to lose weight, add Penta water to your diet. I love The Biggest Loser, but why would you want to drink Penta water?

According to marketing materials, “Penta is the healthy water choice for The Biggest Loser.” While there is no credible scientific evidence that Penta water can help you lose weight, a recent study found that drinking “more than four cups of water a day” could help you lose more weight.

This is good news, but there is a caveat. First, dieters in this study did not just drink more water; they replaced virtually all sugary drinks with water.

Second, they did not lose a significant amount of weight; “those who drunk more than four cups of water a day lost” an average 7 pounds “more in a year than dieters who didn’t.”

Although seven pounds in a year seems modest, the real benefit here is ditching all those sugary drinks. And keep this in mind, “It doesn’t matter if you drink bottled water or tap water: Just drink more water,” says Barry Popkin, nutrition professor at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.
