Dole Banana Diet

Dole Banana Diet

Is the Dole Banana Diet a joke? Can the Dole Banana Diet help you lose weight? Is the Dole Banana Diet better than the Celery Diet? We already know that the Drive-Thru Diet is a joke, so it is hard to take the Dole Banana Diet seriously, but let’s take a look at its claims.

The ad for Dole Banan Diet (above) says the following: “Bananas contain resistant starch which research shows blocks conversion of some carbohydrates into fuel, boosting fat burning by forcing your body to rely on fat stores instead – a sure aid to sustainable weight loss. Dole has created a delicious banana diet to help you stick to your New Year’s resolution.”

If this diet is not bananas, I do know what is. Forger calorie reduction or portion control, just eat bananas and lose weight, right? Wouldn’t be nice if it was that easy to lose weight? Do not get me wrong, I love bananas, but there is a reason why there is no such thing as fat-burning foods.

Bananas are high in carbohydrates and sugar, either of which could hardly be considered as diet-friendly. Does the Dole Banana Diet aid weight loss? Well, I am not saying you cannot eat bananas and lose weight, but the notion that some starch will force your body to burn body fat as fuel sounds, well, bananas to me.

You probably should have read the article closer and looked at 2 week food chart that was given with the ad. It has you eating 2 bananas a day, in the morning and then eating a low calorie lunch and dinner that resticks you to under 1300 calories. I think it is the reduced calories in this diet more then anything that leads to weight lose.
