Diet to Lose Belly Fat
Continued from The Flat Belly Diet.
Is there a specific diet which is designed to help you lose belly fat? Yes, the Flat Belly Diet, for example. Does this diet really work? Yes and no. It works in a sense any good diet works, but its MUFAs’ claims are questionable.
Diet to lose belly fat According to the Flat Belly Diet, you have to do a four-day cleanse to prep the body for the diet.
The cleanse requires eating 1,200 calories a day over three meals (each with a MUFA) and a smoothie of skim milk, fruit and flaxseed oil. Another must: 81/2 glasses of homemade Sassy Water, a bloat-beating combo of ginger, cucumber, lemon and spearmint leaves.
Diet to lose belly fat: the plan Then comes a four-week plan that includes 1,600 calories a day, divided into four meals. Each should consist of about 400 calories and include a MUFA.
The dieter should never go longer than four hours without eating. “Timing is critical,” says Sass. “You don’t want to undernourish or overfuel during any given part of the day. You will feel satisfied – and belly fat will disappear,” says Sass.
The result? Dieters are said to have lost up to 15 pounds and 12 inches of body fat in just 32 days.
Important Note: I would like to bring your attention to a very important fact. Dieters who lost about 15 pounds in about a month on the Flat Belly Diet did not spot reduce their belly fat. They have lost 12 inches of body fat, which means they have lost weight all over their body.
