Diet To Conceive a Boy
You have probably heard about the Shettles method, which claims an astonishing success rate of 75 percent, but is it possible to increase your chances of conceiving a boy by making certain changes to your diet?
Some people believe that your diet plays an important role in determining your baby’s gender. Want to conceive a boy?
Eat lots of red meat, walnuts and have the man drink espresso – or so they say. Of course, “eat this to have a boy” “eat that to have a girl” theories are mostly unscientific.
However, there are some things you can do to increase your chances of conceiving a baby. For example, did you know that Jacuzzis have chilling effect on conception?
Although hot tubs and Jacuzzis can make you feel relaxed – and even a bit frisky – a recent study by University of California – San Francisco researcher Paul J.Turek revealed that men who are trying to conceive should avoid them.
“We now have actual evidence to show patients that these recreational activities are a real risk factor for male infertility and can be comfortably added to that list of lifestyle recommendations and ‘things to avoid’ as men attempt to conceive,” says Turek, who is the director of UCSF’s Male Reproductive Health Center.
While it is known that dry heat exposure can lower sperm production and motility, little research has been done on wet-heat exposure. When the patients Turek studied stopped exposure to wet heat for at least three months, 45 percent of them responded favorably. [source: Your Health]
