Get cooking Research shows that most teens begin to gain weight fairly early in life. The main reason for this has to do with the way their parents eat, but as you get older, you can take control of your eating habits. The best way to accomplish this? Learn to cook! It is not hard.

You can easily learn how to prepare simple meals using basic ingredients such as vegetables, fruits and proteins. Homemade meals are not only cheaper – they also tend to be healthier because you have full control over ingredients.
