Based on the book Eat Right 4 Your Type by Peter D’Adamo, the Blood Type Diet says people can reach optimal health by way of their blood type, through different meal and exercise plans.
Many of the foods the Blood Type diet shuns are the same ones that many dietitians and nutritionists agree you should be eating.
“If you follow the diet and do lose weight, it’s probably because you’re eating fewer calories, not because there’s something magical going on,” says Katherine Tallmadge, MA, RD, spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association.
