Does the Diet Designs program work? The short answer is yes, the Diet Designs program works, the question is: How does the Diet Designs program work and why? Can you safely lose weight on this program? Diet Designs consists of customized meals for each client that range anywhere from 1,000 to 2,400 calories per day that are put together based on your individual fitness and weight-loss goals.
The Diet Designs plan follows the following nutritional balance: 50 – 60 percent carbs, 20 – 25 percent protein and 20 – 25 percent fat. It is worth noting that if you decide to use the Diet Designs program, you should not choose a plan that dips below 1,200 daily calories. In addition, I would probably ask for lower percentage of carbs and higher percentage of protein, and the fat percentage can be increased to 30 percent.
How much does the Diet Designs program cost? The program is available nationwide, which is a big plus, but at $1,000 a month the Diet Designs program is not cheap.
Here is the Diet Designs’ sample menu:
Breakfast A cup of cooked oatmeal with sliced apples and a half-cup of nonfat milk.
Morning snack 10 raw almonds.
Lunch Spinach salad with 4 ounces turkey breast, mushrooms, 2 chopped egg whites, dried cranberries and 2 tablespoons low-fat raspberry vinaigrette dressing.
Afternoon snack Carrot and zucchini sticks with hummus.
Dinner 6 ounces halibut, whole-wheat couscous and green beans.
The bottom line on Diet Designs Overall, it is a pretty good program. It does not really teach you how to change your eating habits or what you need to do to develop new eating habits, but if you follow this program, you will probably lose weight.
