Diana DeGarmo: Weight Loss, Diet, and Workout
We first saw Diana DeGarmo on American Idol’s third season, when the then-16-year-old was confident in her pipes – but not yet her physique.
“I was a clunky kid,” she says. “I was as round as I was tall.” Now, at 19, Diana has gone from a size 10 to a 4.
What happened? “Seeing pictures of myself, I was like, ‘I don’t like that. That’s not cute.’” She hired trainer Harley Pasternak last fall, and, “I started noticing changes right after Christmas,” she says. “Three months later, I hit my all-time low.”
To curb her cheese cravings, she now snacks on rice cakes and protein shakes between meals. “I no longer live to eat.”
Diana DeGarmo’s Diet and Workout Daily circuit training for an hour with fitness pro and 5 Factor Diet author Harley Pasternak helped DeGarmo lose weight.
She now eats five low-fat, high-fiber meals a day to fuel intense workouts, which include bicep curls, pullups and squats plus cardio (everything from running to golf).
She also has a gym in her NYC building, so she says she has “no excuse” not to exercise five times a week. [via]
