Customized Workouts

Customized workouts are awesome. Why? Because, as the name “customized workouts” implies, they are tailored to your specific needs. Unfortunately, it is not easy to find a certified personal trainer who specializes in customized workouts, especially if you do not live in a major city.
But if you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you are in luck. That’s because Shanon B. Smith is a personal trainer who is not only into customized workouts, she also creates customized weight management programs (shanonbsmith.com).
And while I do not necessary agree with all aspects of her dietary approach, I respect her opinion on this subject. “The common struggle seems to be learning how to eat moderately on a consistent basis,” says Smith, which is absolutely correct, but I am not sold on what is known as the metabolic typing that she uses to assess a client’s, well, metabolic type (mixed, protein or carbo).
