Colonics Weight Loss

Colonics weight loss – real deal or just another weight-loss fad? Can colonics help you lose weight? The colonics weight loss theory sounds legitimate, but like so many other weight loss fads such as drinking water to lose weight and the celery diet fantasy, colonics and weight loss do not mix very well. In fact, colonics are dangerous because the procedure can reduce what is known as good bacteria, which helps digest what you eat.
The colonics weight loss myth claims that colonics helps clean up waste, which, in turn, makes you lose weight, but it does not. Why not? Because the key to a healthy colon has to do with following a fiber-rich diet. Colonics, even if they can flash out some waste, do not increase your metabolism and cannot burn body fat.
What do they do? They flash out water, that’s right, simple water, which makes them completely useless. Oh, and there is one more side effect worth mentioning – colonics can disrupt your levels of electrolytes. Stay as far away from them as possible. Follow a healthy diet and exercise – that’s all you need to maintain your weight and health.
