Chyler Leigh: Diet and WorkoutYou may not know Chyler Leigh just yet but all that is about to change. She has joined Grey’s Anatomy as Lexie Grey. Chyler, 25, is candid about how she lost weight after pregnancy, her diet and how she stays in shape. Here is an excerpt from her recent interview.

How did you lose your baby weight? I hate working out so I try to take brisk walks. I push a jogging stroller with two kids in there, so you’re pushing a good 50 pounds. I started doing the Zone Diet and that has helped.

Have you always had a healthy relationship with food and your weight? I struggled with weight issues when I was about 18 years old. When I was in my party phase, I was really unhealthy and it took a toll on my body.

I knew I needed to make better choices for myself and start taking life more seriously. Now, I want to be healthy and look good, but my husband says I’m sexy and that I look great and that is what matters to me. I don’t care what anyone else thinks.

What is your opinion of Hollywood, especially when you see someone like Britney or Lindsay? It breaks my heart. I trip out because I’m the same age as these girls and yet my life is so dramatically different. They need some seriously good people in their life – they need a support team.

They need something to believe in. They need God. I don’t want to sit here and beat anyone over the head with it, but they need something to live for, because it doesn’t seem like that’s what they have. [source: OK!]
