Chocolate: Weight Loss
Chocolate – the quality kind without a ton of added sugar – is awesome. But is it awesome enough to support weight loss? The Doctor’s Chocolate brand claims that it does. In fact, they claim that you can lose 59 pounds in 5 months.
Yes, they use quality dark chocolate with very little sugar and only 20 calories per serving (1 piece). Yes, it tastes great. It is also formulated it with L-theanine, which is an amino acid that supposedly lowers stress levels.
So can you just eat chocolate and lose weight? Umm, not really. While The Doctor’s Chocolate or some other quality brand is could certainly be a healthy addition to your diet, there is no evidence that chocolate supports weight loss.
My favorite brand of chocolate? That’s easy. Lindt 85% cocoa, which I enjoy every day with my coffee.
