Child Exercise
Should a child exercise? Obesity among children is increasing. In fact, adolescent obesity almost doubled in the last 10 years.
According to About’s guide to child care, a child should have at least 30 minutes a day of adult-supervised activity as a child exercise.
Of course, nutrition plays an important role in your child’s health, but some studies found that lack of activity in early childhood, could increase the risk of developing type II diabetes later in life.
And while there are many forms of child exercise, I would not think playing a video game would count as one of them - - or would it?
A machine has been invented to encourage children to work out while they are playing computer games. The Step2Play step exercise machine links directly to a child’s computer games console. The game’s controller will only work if the child keeps up a constant pre-set rate of exercise. [via Uber-Review]
I guess this is better than no exercise at all.
