Certified Organic Meat and Poultry
Do you need a reason to go with certified organic meat and poultry?
While some studies have doubted the health benefits of organic foods, I have always been a fan of organic meat and poultry.
Why? Studies can be misleading; nutritionally speaking, organic, free range meat and poultry is superior to conventional products. And here is another reason: Research shows that foods from animals routinely fed antibiotics are another source of antibiotic resistance.
Not that I am a huge fan of antibiotics, but they do save lives, you do not want to be resistant to them. Only certified organic foods are currently known to be free of antibiotic drugs – another reason to buy organic.
