What is the deal with certified organic beef? It is awesome! Certified organic beef comes from herds fed organic feed, produced without persistent, toxic pesticides. Animals graze on organic land and are treated humanely.
Organic regulations prohibit the use of antibiotics: Animals that become sick are removed from the flock or herd. Organic production also forbids the use of synthetic growth hormones – a widespread practice in conventional meat production that may also contribute to human health problems.
