Carrie Underwood: 2008 Workout
Continued from Carrie Underwood: 2008 Diet and Weight Loss.
In addition to losing weight, Carrie Underwood wanted to come up with a good workout program. What did she do? In her new house, she created a mini home gym and hired a personal trainer to help her navigate an often confusing world of exercise equipment and a proper way of using it.
What kind of exercise equipment did Carrie get? For her cardio sessions she got an elliptical machine, for abdominal exercises she got a balance ball – and unlike many women who shy away from free weights – Carrie got a pair of dumbbells to work her arms and shoulders. Nothing fancy but this stuff works if you know how to work it.
Carrie Underwood’s workout Usually, Carrie works out in the morning. She does her cardio on the elliptical machine for about 30 minutes and then it is time to work arms and shoulders with free weights.
Most people hate cardio, not Carrie. “My favorite thing is cardio. It really helps the pounds melt off, and it gives me so much more energy. Now when I’m performing and running around the stage, it’s no big deal, whereas before I was always gasping for breath. Working out has really paid off onstage,” she says.
