How many carbs are in watermelon? How much sugar does watermelon contain? Before I answer those questions, take a look at the pics above. 100 grams is a relatively small piece of watermelon, but it contains a pretty good amount of carbs and sugar.

As for fiber, watermelon is not blessed in that department; one serving contains a meager 0.4 grams of fiber, which is very little considering the amount of carbs it contains.

Take a look at the second picture. Two servings of watermelon (200 grams) is not a lot to chew on, but it contains 15 grams of carbs and 12 grams of sugar.

So what do you make of this information? Essentially, watermelon consists of sugary water and not much else; in one serving, there is 182 grams of water. If you are trying to lose weight, you probably should stay away from it until you reach the maintenance phase.

If you are not trying to lose weight, I would not worry about it. Enjoy it! Watermelon does contain some important nutrients such as lycopene (a lot of lycopene, 4532 mcg), Vitamin C, and Vitamin A.
