Candace Cameron Bure’s weight loss of 22 pounds is a significant achievement for her, but how did she do it?

Candace Cameron Bure’s diet is balanced and smart. She does not count calories. She does, however, rely heavily on protein, vegetables and complex carbohydrates, which she tries to eat in the morning. What about Candace Cameron Bure’s diet indulgences? Bure satisfies her cravings with an occasional glass of wine and carrot cake.

Here is a sample of Candace Cameron Bure’s diet:

Breakfast A bowl of gluten-free cereal or an omelet made with fresh tomato and onion.

Lunch A salad with chicken and olive oil or balsamic vinaigrette dressing on the side.

Snack A handful of almonds or two slices of turkey wrapped over pieces of bell pepper.

Dinner Salmon with cooked veggies and a green salad or an assortment of sushi.

As for Candace Cameron Bure’s workout, Bure says, “I don’t need to have a trainer because our lifestyle is so active.” She exercises at least four times a week (and up to five or six days during the summer months).

Pilates Two or three days a week, Bure attends a local Pilates reformer class. “The instructor really pushes us, so it’s almost a cardio workout as well,” she says.

Tennis “I hit balls with the kids a couple days a week,” Cameron Bure says. “They’re good enough now that they beat me sometimes!”

Family Runs The entire clan will jog (sometimes five days a week) on the beach. Says Bure, who does not fixate on mileage, “I’ll get up to 45 minutes.”
