Callie Thorne: Workout and Diet
Callie Thorne dances and wears 5-pound ankle weight. Yet she says, “I’m too ADD to belong to a gym!”
“I need something that would trick me into working out.” When she was young, her mother taught her belly dancing, and it seems to be working for her.
At 36, the Rescue Me actress is in wonderful shape.
“It’s very sexy, fluid, so it’s easy on your body, and you have no idea that you’re getting a workout until the next day,” says Callie Thorne.
Aching muscles aside, she claims that three times a week one hour long classes have improved her physique:
“One of the ideas of belly dancing is the image of a snake. That’s what you’re trying to achieve, and that takes real muscle control. It tones everything from your toes up.”
Callie Thorne’s diet approach is simple. “When I want to eat well, I stick to lots of crunchy and green stuff”, says Thorne of her no-junk-carbs diet plan. “I love huge salads with chicken, olives and peppers.” While she is not a stranger to fruit shakes and veggies, she keeps bread and pasta at bay.
