Can you believe she’s had four kids? Well, she did, and just five months after giving birth to her son Shaya, Brooke Burke has already lost most of the baby weight.

“I feel great,” she says, adding that she was determined to get back into shape on her own terms. “I think it’s important for women to listen to their bodies and not put pressure on themselves. But I felt great, so I started out slowly.”

Burke had gained about 25 pounds while she was pregnant, and when her 6-pound, 8-ounce baby boy arrived, she knew losing the weight would not be easy. “I had to work harder this time since it’s my fourth baby, and I’m a little older and have less time,” notes Brooke.

Brooke Burke’s diet and exercise played a big part in her success. “I eat as healthy as I can – lots of salads, soups and vegetables,” says Brooke, who dove right back into Pilates as soon as her doctor gave her the okay. “I’ve always been a believer in small, frequent meals. And I don’t eat a lot of carbs and I try to avoid white flour.” [via]
