Have you ever wondered why the Blueprint Cleanse is called the Blueprint Cleanse? Could it be because it can turn you, well, blue? No, not literally, but the Blueprint Cleanse is dangerous.
How the Blueprint Cleanse works This cleanse is essentially an all-liquid diet, which is an obvious red flag. It consists of six daily smoothies (think pineapple-apple-mint juice and cashew-nut milk).
How long the Blueprint Cleanse lasts It all depends on which level you choose (yes, there are a number of levels – more on that in a second), it can last anywhere from three to ten days.
The Blueprint Cleanse components This cleanse is designed with three levels of intensity in mind: Level one is called the Renovation Cleanse – while it is the least dangerous of the tree levels, it is still jejune. On this level you can consume 1,200 calories.
Level two is called the Foundation Cleanse. On this level you can consume 1,100 calories a day. Level three is called the Excavation Cleanse – this is the most dangerous level because it only allows 1,000 calories a day.
Of course, the Blueprint Cleanse is no different from other jejune detoxes and cleanses. So it is not a huge surprise that it claims it can help your body cleanse itself from artificial food additives found in processed foods and other toxins. Unfortunately, there is no scientific support for such claims.
The bottom line on the Blueprint Cleanse The Blueprint Cleanse is utterly unsustainable. Nutritionally speaking, you are basically drinking sugar and not much else. Dropping your daily calorie intake below 1,200 calories is unacceptable, but even if you only opt for the level one, the Renovation Cleanse, you are still missing healthy fats and protein with the majority of your daily calories coming from sugar, which is not healthy.
